What’s Your Secret For Stress Relief?

To make a VERY long story short, i have had allot happen to me this year and now take some medicine to try and help. It was going ok and now i have found out that i may be lay-ed off of my job (due to closing the store) for the second time this year. I have a sick 10 month old, a family member just passed, other family is sick, broke my foot, and on and on. What do you do to relieve extra stress. I feel like crap and want to try something new to feel great! Any ideas?

Weight lifting, walking, sex ~ releases endorphins (feel-good hormones)
Meditation provides relaxation ~ a way to escape reality and concentrate on the self.
I practice Buddhism. This helps me to live in the moment and allowing me to let go of things past. Buddhists don’t believe in the future. This helps with stress in that you’re not worrying about events such as, “..what am I going to do if my foot gets worse?..”, or “..what if someone else in my family dies?..”, etc. You concentrate on the “now” as you take baby steps. Baby steps to accomplish one little goal at a time.
This is only one fraction of Buddhism.
Talk about a stress reliever and a feeling of being free from the chains that bind you.
Hope for the best during these challenging times as you may begin to see them, not only as learning experiences, but events that make you stronger.

Do only what you need to do for you and your child and say no to everything else. Stress is caused by doing things you don’t what to do.

Ever read the Secret or watch the movie. Very uplifting and thought provoking. Gives you a different way to view things. Shows how powerful thoughts are essential.

    Exercise
    Watch my favorite movie
    Take a hot bubble bath
    Sleep
    Eat sweets
Go for a walk while listening to music
    Blast music
    Dance
Write down everything that I’m feeling
    Punch a pillow

  • Its very simple and costs no money: Take a nice very hot Bath and sit there and soak for like an hour, while reading a book or something.
