How do you time manage to get things done in the day, such as any studying and eating and travelling etc
When do you have free time, or time that you can have as fun time (movies etc) and how can you chill in these times and not ponder or be stressed about what you have been planning to do etc?
Thanks x

The first thing you need to do is to create a list of tasks you need to do first- not create the time table.
Plan Important, Not All Activities-
You don’t have to plan all your activities- it’s too stressful. Plan only the IMPORTANT activities.
if you spend 2 focused, uninterrupted and productive hours finishing study/ important work, you don’t really have to worry much about doing other things- because your most important things are done.
So if you have a simple time table like
1. Finish Homework 2-4pm
2. Chores 4-4.30pm
3. Gym 5-6pm
4. Dinner with friends 6pm-7pm
5. Revise any school work 9pm-10pm.
Notice that you don’t have to fill in ALL activities in your day, just the important ones, I leave gaps in between like 4.30pm-5pm, 7-9pm so that you have extra time for relaxing or emergencies
Prioritize and Find Your Productive Time-
I recommend you prioritize your tasks- then use your most productive time to complete those important tasks.
Find your productive time- then schedule the priority during those times.
That means that if your energy levels is highest at 2-4pm, this will be your productive time, then schedule it at 2pm-4pm, BEFORE any other task. Don’t waste your productive time. My productive time is usually around 6am-8am and 8pm-10pm, I work best in the early morning and at night.
Don’t use your time to do anything else during this period. Complete your top priority task FIRST.
I find I get a lot of things done using this method, you can get a lot of work done by prioritizing your tasks during those 2 hours.
Time management simply put, is working smarter. The first step in developing an effective time management plan is to determine where you need to spend time and where you do not. Below are just a few basic principles to get started:
1.Determine what time of day you are most productive. Are you more productive in the morning or in the afternoon? Schedule your most important daily tasks during this period. Save your more mundane chores like attending meetings, answering emails and phone calls for later.
2.Use technology to your advantage. Don’t return phone calls if sending emails can accomplish the same thing. Return phone calls during the noon hour and leave voice messages. This saves you many minutes of idle chitchat.
3.Get a clear picture. Don’t begin a new project until you have all of the details and you completely understand the projects goals and requirements. Get all your questions answered before you begin as there’s no sense in doing it twice.
4.Develop good decision making skills. Understand the consequences of each decision you make; will it produce the desired results?
5.Create an action plan. If you neglect to take time for planning, you are setting yourself up for failure. Spend time analyzing every project. Create a “To Do” list and outline each task required to reach your desired goal. Be sure to break down larger tasks into smaller ones. Specify due dates, and priorities. Cross off each task as it’s completed, this will help you keep organized and prevent you from forgetting anything. Take a look at your plan, are there ways to simplify it further? Keep your list updated
