If you’re like most men, you’re interested in learning how to delay ejaculation. Well, stress plays a huge role in your ability to control ejaculation. This article explains the link between stress and lasting longer in bed. When you’re stressed out, what you’re experiencing is the “Fight or Flight” response. That’s the instinctive response that animals experience in the wild when they have to decide whether to flee or stick around and fight for their very survival. We’re obviously not in the wild any more, but we still experience the “Fight or Flight” response every day. For example, when you have to give a big presentation, when you’re frustrated and stuck in traffic, or even when you’re worried about lasting longer in bed. So, how does stress play a role in lasting longer in bed?If you’ve got a ton of tension and anxiety, your body will trigger the “Fight or Flight” response. In terms of having sex, let’s say you’re all wound up and nervous about lasting longer, and so your body is very tight and tense. This stress will lead you to ejaculate sooner than you might want, because your body is going to look for an outlet to release that stress. But on the other hand, if you can regulate your stress and stay calm, you’ll last longer in bed. So how do you do that? You have to engage what’s called the “relaxation response. ” You see, most of us are so stressed out that it actually takes focused and consistent effort to relax. The best ways to evoke the “relaxation response” are through natural stress relief techniques like deep breathing, meditation, yoga, and exercise. Regulating your stress is closely tied together with regulating your arousal. You do it in much the same way: by being self-aware, and focusing on your breathing. Here’s what you should do, starting today. Reserve at least a few minutes every day to just practicing simple deep breathing. It may sound insignificant, but after just a few weeks of consistent practice you’ll notice a pround change in your stress levels from just adding this simple routine to your life. Stress is a major, major cause of premature ejaculation, and the better you are at regulating your stress, the longer you’ll last in bed.
