i’ve suffered from manic depression,severe anxiety, OCD,and post traumatic stress disorder for quiet some time now. the level of management varies from day to day. some days im ok, others, not so much. i am really anal when it comes to change. everything in my house has to be just so. ive lived here for over a year and very little has changed as far as the configuration of my furniture goes. i cant stand for things to be moved around. i am comfortable with the way they are and dread having to change. today i had to move my bedroom furniture around because of structural changes done to the room. im on the verge of having a panic attack because of this.i cant see myself sleeping in the bed where it is, i worry about having my bed facing a window, and other things. how can i get over this? how can i not panic about this? im really worried because i feel the attack coming on.

I thanked God today as i do many days, because for the first time in a while things are looking up. I have been struggling and stressing so bad with the Financial Management Services for taking our refund to go towards a mortgage debt, of which, NC does not legally allow. The debt has been removed and i feel a large weight has been lifted. Have you ever had one of those days when you just wanted to shout in the middle of the street … “Thank you God, I knew you were listening!!!” Tell me of your amazing days, big or small….

Breif history: I have been with my boyfriend for 7 months now, were engaged. Unfortunatly (for both of us) he is bipolar, and has mood swings, which here lately have been quite extreme. For example he got mad at me, and actually hurt me (by twisting me neck, etc.) So I called the cops, and he was arrested. (Keep in mind when I first met my boyfriend (Chad) I had no idea he was bipolar as he showed no signs that I picked up on) He didn’t show me this side till down the road and when I saw it I was shocked/scared, etc. Your probley wandering why I stayed with him, after he hurt me the first time? I told myself it wouldn’t happen again, and when I’m with Chad I usually feel really happy, and so in love! He is a great guy and I do love him! When he has these mood swings though I look into his eyes and it’s like I don’t even know him and I’m seeing a different guy! I really beleive in my heart he has a really hard time controling his condition (especially since he’s currently NOT taking medication for it) Chad also has suicidal thoughts sometimes, and that scares me, because I love him. (He feels this way when things are going wrong-cars break down, no luck finding work, etc.) Keep in mind that these mood swings don’t happen EVERYDAY, they happen occasionally. Anyway this last time (he hurt me) I called the cops, and now he’s in jail and looking at 6months-2years in prison! I honestly beleive what he did to me was horrible, but beleive him going to prison will be a huge threat to his health, and very unbeneficial for both him and me!
I beleive what will really help is him going to a Mental Institute (instead of Prison), and getting the help he needs. (Getting Counceling-I’d be willing to go for support occasionally, Getting Anger Management–to learn how to deal with anger/stress, and of course get him on some medication) His Mom actually told me that I ONLY know the Chad off of mediacation. I asked if he was better on them, and she verified he was much better, and much more relaxed/calm.
Do you know if I ask the judge (or prosecuter) for his sentence to be deamed to a Mental Institute, instead of Prison he will-since I am the victim in the case?

my little boy is 6 years old and has adhd i dont like the way his meds make him act. we have tryed adderal, focalin, metadate, and now daytrana it helps for a few weeks and then seems not to affect him any more. is there anything other than meds that i can try. random people have told me that all he needs is an old fashion beating but really whats that going to accomplish other than child abuse. i have started him in behavior management classes but we have only had one appointment so far so i dont quite know if its helping yet. please if anyone can help, i am soooo stressed out. i have 2 other children and one on the way.their ages are 6,4,and the baby is 14 months

A few years back I worked at a company called the Southern California Organ Procurement Center, which handled organ donation for the L.A. area. A few months after I started they changed their name to “OneLegacy” with the idea that “we all have one life, in which to give one gift, and leave one legacy”. Being a lifelong believer in reincarnation, I found this whole one-one-one deal a little offensive. I shared my feelings with senior management and asked them to change the name but they refused. Eventually I had a breakdown over the issue and was terminated for not showing up. So my question is, given the significant mental stress I incurred over the issue and the morality of earning a living at a place that insulted my most cherished spiritual beliefs, would there be any kind of a merit for a wrongful termination, civil rights violent, mental anguish, etc?

i have a friend who i have known for about 6 years, and she is very respectful and givving, she has an extremely funny sence of humour and common sence , shes actually very wise for her age, but she is very differant to most people her age ( shes 17) and ive never asked her anything like this because i could be very wrong , but she does have insomnia cause it takes her hours to get to sleep, and she has sleep paralysis, wich scares the crap out of her and when shes alone at night she gets very paranoid and thinks theres ghosts around her, and she told me she thought she heard a ghost say somthing to her when she was in bed one night and she just pretended she was asleep, she has an over active mind and thinks waay to much, shes anti social and isolated and doesnt like to meet new people, although shes very pretty shes never had a boyfriend because of this , she doesnt always pick up on social ques, shes sufferd from depression and doesnt have much confidance, i wouldnt say she has a shot temper but she deffanantly has anger management and when she stresses out heaps she will smash things and start shaking, this doesnt always happen but i was just curious could this be a mental disorder? if so what do you think? also she values animals lives more then human lives (wich i understand) shes athiest and doesnt believe in sex till marriage , maybe she just has a very strong personality?? what do you think

but I have worked my way up to management within the the first 4 mos @ the company. We had a whole new group of GM’s and sales floor mngres come in about a yr ago and it has been nothing but STRESS ever since. I am not thin skinned trust me, I wouldn’t have lasted 2 mos @ this job if I was.We have lost alot of good people since they have come..long term “vets” that have been with the company longer than me. Over the past 6-8 mos I have had so much stress that my attendance has become an issue. I am not worried about losing my job because I am protected through FMLA(family medical leave act) I was diagnosed with a chronic condition last yr most likely brought on by stress. I am on medication for hypertension,severe anxiety, ibs,etc..I’m sick of it..I used to look forward to going to my job but know I absolutely dread it ..I end up crying before the end of shift or throwing up ..we have comments frm upper mngmt threatening our jobs all the time..

Ok, this child(she is 14) has been friends with my daughter since they were 2. She is having alot of problems at home i.e. father has moments of rage and has lashed out at the mother physically also has to the children a couple of times. He was court ordered to go through anger management last year which he completed but still has rages. The mother used to do drugs and now has serious mental problems, is verbally abusive. The kid had been a cutter, got involved in drugs and drinking to runaway from the stress. For a year now she has not lived with her parents but instead has been bouncing back and forth from each of her grandparents homes. She wants to live with me and we have agreed it would be good for her and her parents are starting too as well. How do I go about getting guardianship so that I can enroll her in school, take her to doctor’s if needed, etc..etc.
I don’t want to take her parents rights away & want the child to have contact with parents while they seek help.
