Would This Scare Anyone? Am I Crazy For Doing This?

29 y/o…Just quit my job of over 10 years. Just walked out and never went back. It was literally like the movie “Office Space” except that it was retail. I’ve always been the model employee other than the past year or so. I did everything I could short of breaking the law to at least get reprimanded, but to no avail. I was insubordinate, late, even didn’t show up a few times, and I was a total ****** to the whole management staff. No one ever said a word to me. Even got a awesome annual eval. WTF? This job was literally making me feel old at 29, and the pay definitely wasn’t worth the stress. The stress all caused by other people being lazy and not doing their jobs correctly I might add. So I quit, and in the fall I plan on going back to school after more than 10 years. I feel a little apprehension at the thought of going back to school, but at the same time I feel completely liberated. Am I crazy?

Does Anyone Know Any Other Medicines For Tourette’s Syndrome?

I was only diagnosed 10 years ago and am 24 (well almost) now. I have always taken Chlonadine (not sure on correct spelling) I have not taken it for almost 3 years as i had The Tourette’s under control until recently a few Tics have re-occurred. Mainly some pretty violent Head Shaking which is causing me major headaches. The side affects to Chlonadine is Restless nights and drowsiness during the day which is one of the reasons i stopped, plus gaining control.
I was wondering if there any other medicines that have been tried a tested and been ssuccessful I have done some research, but not got anything ccom firmingit. I know if i just go to my doctor they will just put me on the the same stuff and write the prescription and not care in the world as they normally do for the whole 2 minutes i would be there. I want to be able to go to my doctor with some alternatives so he can actually try and help me.
I’m just so ticked off because I thought i had beaten Tourette’s and out grown it as i have heard some people have done, I know it is stress that has caused it and i do have quite stress fullll job, but cant afford to quit it.
Any help will be very gratefulll.
Just so you know i only suffer from a mild form of Tourette’s,i dont randomly swear at people in the street or make racist comments just suffer from tics and occasional anger lashouts is brought on by stress and tourettes (so i been told, i think i just need anger management sometimes, but i’m no doctor)

Stress relief products are so inexpensive when purchased overseas that few are made in America today.

a friend of mine is getting the run around where we work, he got into some trouble a few days ago and now they tell him his job status is up in the air, they have continued to let him work while management discusses whether he will be fired or not, i thought a company had to suspend you while they investigated the incident and not let him continue to work and stress out over his job status, he asks them about his status and they won’t give him an answer, our company is located in iowa, please tell me there are some workers rights regarding this

This type of “management by stress” system does not work. Being squeezed to extract maximum productivity increases stress; stressed workers are less productive. In the long run it is not an effective way to run a business. If the employees are squeezed out, then they will be stressed and give less quality, which might scare off some consumers. If consumers start to come less often the employers will make less money.
In the chapter “Serving the Florida” on page, 32 Ehrenreich had two jobs: working the breakfast/lunch shift and another shift after this one. She was stressed and had to use ibuprofens to release the pain. Barbara’s boss told her to work faster and told her not to chat with customers. Without chatting with customers she would be more stressed and the customers might not come the next time if they don’t like the setting.
In the next chapter “Scrubbing in Maine”, Barbara had a house cleaning job.

Anyone Ever Been Fired For Reporting Staff Sleeping On The Job?

I worked for a hospital and I reported staff sleeping at night. The manager didn’t do anything for 8 months. Finally 3 people got fired for sleeping but there were 4 more that did not. Two nurses who got fired sued the company and when the case came close to going to court I got threatened by management. The one tech that was the first to get fired got hired back because he testified that the nurses were sleeping on the job. The patients who were stroke and brain inury patients were not able to get up or take care of themselves and while staff was sleeping they were not being taken care of. I am trying to decide what to do about all of this because the exact day I put in for FMLA was the day I was fired. I couldn’t take the stress another day.
