I am being offered a management position at my job to begin after I come back from maternity leave. It was a position I had before but I left the job for a while. Now that I am back, they want to offer it to me again. When I had the position before it was very stressful. When the position was originally offered to me now for the second time, I was excited to take it again because I was under the impression that things within the company had changed (the very things that stressed me out so much before). I saw areas where my abilities could really be useful and was ready and willing to be able to put my two cents in again. However, now I am seeing that things are even more corrupt than before and I’m hesitant to take the job. There have been issues with money missing, for one. People keep getting fired for it, but the money still keeps going on missing all the time. I don’t want to be the next person to get blamed for it. It will give me a bad reference for the next job and I don’t want

Having children is stressful enough! I think you should look for something else, if you were getting stressed before the baby. Specially as it seems you are working more for personal achievement, rather than just a paycheck.
Do you think the pay would be worth the stress? That’s why I have never moved up to a Management position.I just want to do my 8 hrs. & go home.
Not if things have not changed at your employer. You have to think you have enough stress and other issues at home and you do not need to come to work to deal with more stress. Sometimes making more money is not always worth it. End the end having a piece of mind is the best thing,
Also if your not happy with your current employer rememeber that you can take the skills that you have aquired on the job and move onto something bigger and better. You have to always work for an employer that will allow you room for growth and to be able to utilize the skills that you have acuired on the job.
