How To Prove My Colleague Faked A ‘customer Complaint’ Against Me?

Basically due to personal reasons, I lost control of my emotions whilst at work and swore at another girl. Directly after the incident I explained it was not a planned act, more a loss of control due to emotional stress and anxiety.
A day later, I was suspended because management received an email from a customer who stated this was ‘the most appalling thing they had ever witnessed’. The email was a page long detailing word for word the account of what happened. It was fabricated, saying I continued to shout general abuse and blocked her path. All of which are untrue.
Most importantly I did not receive the details of the complaint until i was in my disciplinary meeting.
I have passed the email to two professionals in the field of customer service and company procedure and ACAS Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service. All of whom are astonished that a passing member of the public composed such a lengthy, detailed, personal complaint for an incident that lasted no more than 15secs.
Is there a way I can prove that this is not a genuine customer? Can I demand to watch CCTV to prove there was no customer present?

You can ask to view the cctv but if they refuse your only option would be to file a complaint with a regulatory agency or hire an attorney.~

You and only you ( apart from the police) can view cctv footage of yourself, even playback! you can view cctv footage as your defence. If someone else ( who works at your company) has viewed this tape, then they have done so illegally and you could sue them under the Data protection act.
But, if your company wants rid of you, then I personally would start looking for another job, before all this goes on your file and possibly tarnishes it.

The important thing is to not get bogged down defending yourself against this letter.
Once you start defending youself against the letter, you are giving it credibility. If they ask you about it, continue to dismiss it and move on to the next issue.tracking down the person who is actively working against the company
Maintain you position that it is fabricated from a co-worker

A complaint is only valid if the complainant identifies him/herself , otherwise it`s not worth the paper it`s written on !! Most companies would toss in in the garbage if it`s not signed and the phone #/name not clearly printed at the end .
You could ask to see if that`s the case . If they refuse , get your lawyer involved !

i would say that you are definitely within your rights to ask for evidence. i would also say that all evidence against you should be produced before the hearing
sounds like you have been stitched up
