Changing Careers, Need Suggestions?

So I will complete my BBA in Management very soon and I have been biting my nails at what to do. I completely hate selling and retail. I want to be able to use my brain. Accounting has scared me away because of the burnout (My father, a CEO, died at age 47 because of stress).
I’ve been contemplating becoming a Math teacher, but in Texas, you must have 24 hours in Math -and- then the certificate itself.
I love how businesses function as a social structure but I hate the relentless profit hounding that retailers and food service tries to devour. I’ve considered going to grad school for my MBA and then a Ph.D., but I don’t have the credentials to go to anything better than Arlington (Sorry, I’m average, went through health hell with parents).
I’ve stared at the Occup Outlook enough to make you throw up.
I’m at a loss for what todo.

You wouldn’t like teaching math either or you wouldn’t be complaining about the 24 hours and the certificate. There are other things you can do besides be an accountant, sales or work for a retailer or food service provider. Business skills are needed in every field. Even a non-profit organization needs someone like you. What about health care management or realestate? Anyway you look at it, however, all types of organizations are profit-driven and will be looking at the bottom line. Even non-profits need to generate enough to survive. It sounds like maybe you should keep going and get your MBA. If I could afford it, that’s what i would do. But then, in 2 years time, you will be faced with the same dilemma. Why don’t you just start your own business!! then call me and give me a job!!

There is a serious nationwide shortage of science and math teachers and many school systems are hiring people without teaching licenses. Of course, once hired, they are expected to take the courses needed to become certified/licensed in their teaching field.
My DIL got her BS in biology and chemistry and was hired to teach high school biology. She subsequently took her required courses and got her license, before moving to another state and teaching there. She is now certified to also teach chemistry and is the sole chemistry teacher in her high school. She has also begun working on her master’s in some field of biology.
If you want to teach, contact the principals of all of the high schools with commuting distance. Tell them you are willing to take more math courses and get your license and tell them you plan on pursuing a higher degree. You may very well be hired. At the very least, they will hire you as a substitute teacher while you take your required courses.
Don’t work at anything you hate – do work at something you love. Life literally is far too short to spend so much of it working at something that makes you miserable.
