Which of these would you personally recommend as a major, taking into account job availability, pay, and stress levels within the field? Banking, e business, finance, human r management, management, marketing, retail man., science in info. Systems, comp. security, database dev., database management, internetworking tech, networking, web dev., international business. Please offer me your suggestions on which of these would be the best choice. I really do not know what would be the most beneficial to me. Thank you in advance.

don’t pick a career for the benefits or u will hate it later. pick something you like to do and know if u do it everyday u will still like it..and school costs a lot so if u pick a good 1 now u don’t have to go back later.
Good for you! You are asking great questions. Basically you are looking at either a business degree or computer science. The business degree is easy enough because your first two years for any of the business majors are most likely the same classes. For the computer science degree you could either be in the business college looking at Managing Information Systems, or in the Math & Science College at the university with a computer science major. I recommend that you contact Career Services at a local university and ask if they will let you come on campus and take the Discover Assessment. This will help you narrow down your interests into one of these two colleges at the university. Of course, you could do a double major if you were really interested. Also, look at the ONET government website which will give you great information on each of the career choices. This website will show you expected demand for the field as well as lots of other information. Take a look on job search engines such as CareerBuilder.com or Collegegrad.com and you can see how much jobs like this in your area pay and where you might work. No one can choose what would be the best job for you so you will really need to do a bit of research for yourself. But I have given you 3 things to do which will help you out. Also keep in mind that you have until the beginning of your junior year before you must declare a major. Use those two years getting your basics out of the way. It is usually the last semester of the second year that starts you off in the specific degree area you have chosen. Best of luck!
