I’m coming up with a feature of ” Stress busters like 1 day workshops(which include all kinds like
Finance for Non-Finance – 2 days – 4000/-
Knock Out Recession -1 day – 3000/-
Stress Management -1 day – 2500/-
Work Life Balance -1 day -2500 Rs
Train The Trainer -2 days – 4500Rs..
Positive Parenting – 2 days -2000/-) aerobics, dance classes, acting classes, modelling classes are of no use and they burn a hole in your pocket….!
How far do you agree this…please share your real experience if you’ve ever been or done a workshop or short terms courses..

Workshops are kind of useless, except for one key thing. They expose people to other people, thereby allowing networking and cooperation.
I think those 1 day workshops are great ideas, but I’m not sure what they’re all about based on just the titles. Its more of a ‘get active’ kind of thing, like learn a little bit about a subject, meet some people and then maybe continue that relationship outside of the workshops.
It all depends on how you approach building the workshop too. If you just show people a powerpoint and read off the slides, then it will be boring for them and they won’t take much away.
But if you engage them in conversation and activities, allow them to meet other people and work side by side, it will surely have an impact on their performance, and it will likely leave a lasting impression.
    Hope it helps, AK.
