I am very blessed to have an amazing boyfriend, that most girls would die for. Though we live 300 miles apart, we are very close, and love each other unconditionally. We’re 17&18, and been together about a year and four months.
We have a tendency to fight a lot. I’ve come to realize it’s mostly my fault. I have a lot of things going on in my life right now, and it keeps me stressed and frustrated. I have tendencies to go off on him (my bf). Then I feel really bad about it, knowing that I have once again caused a fight.
Does anyone have any tips that will help me keep my cool, and not take things out on him?
Yes, in case you’re wondering, I have other friends too, it’s just I’m closest to my bf and he’s usually whom I talk to when I’m upset.

u are JUST like me! well, my boyfriend lives around me…but like, i have so much going on right now its soooo hard. my father just died & i have so much stress..health problems & all.
God bless!
i’m usually always angry..believe it or not, but the best thing to do is write ALL of ur stress down on a piece of paper & then rip it up. don’t even read it over again. its a way of venting, and u can take ur anger out there. if u like music, listen to HAPPY music[not depressing music] it puts u in a wonderful mood.
and if ur upset, try to avoid people. don’t go online[like aim], dont call people..just try to cool down..becoz then u tend to take things out on the people who never did anything.
i hope this helps!
just try to keep urself occupied, clear ur mind, go shopping or something! :]
hope everything turns out okay
well i personally think u should first think about ur boyfriend and think about how much you love him and how much it would hurt 2 lose him so in other words don’t be stressed around ur bf cus it leads 2 problems if ur in deep stress then just take some time alone ;]
Anger is like a sharp weapon. It can be used for positive gains. It can also be used for negative purposes. To tackle anger problem, there are few suggestions. Do not unduly exercise your mind at all for illegitimate causes. Think that you have no brain for a while. It is a kind of meditation.
Second thing is you should not get angry initially unless provoked or instigated. Try to control your mind slowly and steadily.
Third thing is, give a higher orientation or purpose for getting angry. I mean if you get angry to maintain overall discipline and orderliness in society, you will get support from unknown forces/sources.
Fourth thing is know your position well, and do not try to get angry with elders, teachers, peers, mentors, priests, parents, etc.
There is also a fifth method of directing the anger towards your own self, for not revealing the truth or reality.
Sixth method is do not get angry for “selfish” reasons.
You should know that we waste our energy unnecessarily by getting angry or irritated. Such energy can be usefully diverted and utilized for better achievements.
